Amanda Knox Case News: Rudy Guede Demands Retrial After Knox and Raffaele Sollecito are Cleared

The murder case of Meredith Krecher continues to be in the headlines especially since Amanda Knox, the American previously convicted then acquitted was finally cleared of the case and now that the only person still imprisoned, Rudy Guede, demands a retrial.

It may seem to be fast-paced as two of the previously convicted persons in Krecher's murder trial, Knox and former Italian boyfriend Rafaelle Sollecito were finally cleared.

The only person currently facing jail time is 29-year-old Guede who still claims innocence and now demands retrial after the highest court of Italy has finally acquitted Knox. Guede announced with his lawyers during press time that he has found new hope that his case may be overturned.

While Guede awaits the Court's reasoning behind his conviction, he remains to be persistent that the Court's decision is incorrect and that he committed an impossible crime. "Look at me, I committed the impossible crime. How can I be the accomplice in a murder without any accomplices?" Guede said.

While waiting for the Judge's reasoning behind Knox's trial which comes out after 90 days, Guede shares that it may be possible for him to find something for him to have a favorable verdict.

"I am convinced that we will find elements to overturn the verdict," he said adding, "I want a retrial."

Guede further shares that he is hopeful once again after finding out Knox's acquittal. "Destiny has been less kind to me but I will not lament. Today I have a new reason to go on."

Guede continues saying how he wants to prove everybody wrong and that he is innocent, "I want to prove to everyone that I am not a monster and forget my past," he said.
