George Clooney's wife and Human Rights lawyer is definitely showing to the world that she is not just glamorous on the red carpets but in her law profession as well. Just recently, Amal Clooney flew out to the Maldives to defend former President Mohamed Nasheed who was arrested on highly controversial charges of terrorism.

The brunette beauty, Amal was in her all-black office attire complete with her grey heels for the meeting. Apparently, Amal is meeting up with her client who was Elected in 2008 and also the nation's first democratic leader. Unfortunately, Nasheed's term was interrupted in 2012, when he was "forced to resign at gunpoint," according to Amal's legal team.

 Amal is definitely all out in defending Nasheed and even previously released a statement regarding his innocence via The Guardian. Amal said that Nasheed's arrest was a "mockery of justice, designed to punish him for criticizing the government and remove him as a political threat, " adding, "Nasheed's conviction sends a loud and clear message to the Maldivian people: opposition to the ruling regime will not be tolerated."

Although it is unknown what legal action their team will be doing in the coming days, the news of Nasheed's local lawyer being stabbed might also be one huge concern that Amal had to fly in for a meeting.

There are indeed a lot of high-profile cases that Amal is currently handling including her other case involving one of Al Jazeera's journalists in Egypt where she also went to a week ago.

But despite her obvious hectic schedule, the wife of actor Clooney is indeed showing how she remains to be in full support of her husband's undertakings most recently in Clooney's launch of Casamigo's Tequila brand in Ibiza, Spain where the married couple were also recently spotted together.

The duo haven't lost their romance apparently when a source told E! News "Clooney sat up close to Amal, and they looked very happy and comfortable together," adding, "They were right out there with all the other guests, and despite being in public you could see Amal and Clooney carved out moments of tenderness for each other. They were constantly exchanging cuddles and affection."
