Christian rock legend Alice Cooper recently discussed multiple topics including his mission to warn people about the Devil's hazardous influence on the world.

The 66-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is best known as The Godfather of Shock Rock due to his controversial horror comedy acts which included fake decapitations on stage.

"Be careful! Satan is not a myth. Don't sit around pretending like Satan is just a joke," said Cooper to the DC Beacon in an interview last week.

"I think my job is to warn about Satan."

The Detroit, Michigan native also explained that his horror vaudeville performances were not demonic, despite the fact his detractors claimed otherwise.

"[The] very first night there was a guillotine on stage. And we had a guy coming out of a coffin. I have no idea why. That was our sense of humor...At the time, it was a sore spot. So the religious right immediately deemed me a demon. And there was nothing Satanic about what we did at all. It was pure 1930s RKO horror movie and comedy put together. But you have to remember, every time we got banned somewhere, ticket sales went crazy," said Cooper to The Arizona Republic last month.

"The only thing I did deny, though, being a nice Christian boy, I said, 'There's nothing Satanic about our show. I grew up in a Christian home. I don't care if you don't like what we do. I don't care if you think it's stupid. And I don't care if you think it's inappropriate. It's definitely inappropriate. But it's certainly not Satanic.'"

Despite having a Christian minister as a father, he would later accept Jesus Christ as his savior in the 1980's because he "did not want to go to hell" after his previous battle with alcohol.

"Being a Christian is something you just progress in. You learn. You go to your Bible studies. You pray," said Cooper to the DC Beacon.

"It's really easy to focus on Alice Cooper and not on Christ. I'm a rock singer. I'm nothing more than that. I'm not a philosopher. I consider myself low on the totem pole of knowledgeable Christians. So, don't look for answers from me... I was one thing at one time, and I'm something new. I'm a new creature now. Don't judge Alice by what he used to be. Praise God for what I am now."
