Alec Baldwin, Anderson Cooper Twitter Feud Following '30 Rock' Star's Anti-Gay Remarks
Though I've never met him personally, I'd imagine Alec Baldwin isn't the guy to pick a fight with. The 30 Rock star and president of the "I Hate the Paparazzi" fan club made headlines recently for some anti-gay remarks he made to a photographer.
His new MSNBC talk show has been suspended and Baldwin has since apologized publicly for offending the gay community.
Well, apparently CNN show host Anderson Cooper had a problem with his apology. Apparently Baldwin claims he called the photographer a "fathead" instead of the anti-gay slur of similar rhyme. Cooper has since taken to Twitter to out Baldwin's lies.
At 3:34 AM on November 15, Cooper tweeted: "Wow, Alec Baldwin shows his true colors yet again. How is he going to lie and excuse his anti-gay slurs this time."
Now in the midst of a Twitter feud, Baldwin responded last night: "If I had Anderson's paycheck and sorry ratings, I might be fast and loose with the truth, as well," adding, "I think it would suit you to be more careful what you accuse people of. Journalism us about having the facts."
Clearly, Baldwin meant to post "Journalism is," instead of "Journalism us." Or at least I think he did.
Still, Cooper logged back in later in the hour accusing Baldwin of tweeting under the influence.
"@AlecBaldwin are you drunk? You're kind of embarrassing yourself. I wish you well," adding "I've got to assume this is a fake account. It would be too embarrassing otherwise."
Stay posted for all the Twitter beef between these two "journalists."
