Ajahni Perrin Encourages Empathy, Unity and Love Through New Single "Of Thee I Sing" Featuring David Michael Wyatt
Jamaican-born Ajahni Perrin came to the United States as a child as a result of his father's pastoral position in Brooklyn, NY. Through family ministry, his musical roots were nurtured over the years, and his passion for the creative art form was solidified. Ajahni started to explore other genres, discovering Motown Classics, R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop, Rock, Alternative, and of course, Dancehall Reggae and other Reggae classics. Exposure to other musical styles would open his ears and lead him to the piano, songwriting, and production.
His songwriting skill can now be experienced by music fans across the globe. Ajahni has released his first single "Of Thee I Sing" which is not only a dynamic musical masterwork but is a lyrical expression of the heart of a man who desires the holistic well-being of God's people.
"When I see the capacity of humankind to embrace division along the lines of ideology, or personhood, or creed; it burns within my soul and I am compelled to stand up and displace animus and misguided judgments brought on by untruths that result in enmity against our own kindred," Ajahni shares. "I wrote Of Thee I Sing because I want us to sew the fabric of our individualisms into a collective wonder, the likes of which represent our best selves and not ugliness; together as one people in charity."
"Of Thee I Sing" is available on all digital music outlets now and is impacting Gospel radio across the country. The single features vocals by Liberty Under Grace. Liberty Under Grace is Ajahni's versatile production and publishing company that captures the essence of traditional Gospel, contemporary Christian, and innovative musical ideas and styles.
