The winter finale of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." took everyone by surprise when Ghost Rider made a shocking decision. The episode also followed Robbie Reyes as he sacrificed himself to take down Eli Morrow.

Since the winter finale, fans have been wondering if the previous episode was already Ghost Rider's last ride in the series.

In episode 8, Ghost rider pulled Eli and the demon down to another dimension until the two of them vanished in a flash. While that may seem that Ghost Rider is already gone, there are speculations that he will still be back.  Since no dead body was found, it is possible that Robbie might still be alive somewhere.

In a recent interview, actor Gabriel Luna, who plays Ghost Rider, talked about his potential return.

"Agent Phil Coulson comes in and drops knowledge like a clumsy librarian, as he tends to do, and lifts her spirits and says to her, 'I don't think this is the last we'll see of him,'" he said.

Meanwhile, episode 9 will also follow Aida as she gets a system upgrade. The preview for the episode reveals that Aida is now more powerful than before after making a few upgrades on herself. S.H.I.E.L.D. will also reportedly pay the price for creating the life model trap.

In other news, "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." might no longer be renewed for a fifth season because of its low ratings.

Episode 9 will air on January 10, 10:00 P.M. on ABC. A digital spinoff of the series will also air on December 13 on ABC.
