In 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 2 finale, viewers saw Agent Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) getting sucked into the Kree monolith all of a sudden. While it was not clear where she was taken to, TV Line reports that her fate will be revealed soon, perhaps in the first two episodes of the third season.

According to Christian Today, Henstridge recently shared with TV Line that currently they are working on 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 3 episode 2, suggesting that the cast and crew have already filmed the scenes that display her character's fate. In fact, Henstridge is aware of Simmons' fate and her response to the revelation indicates that the destination of her character is going to be somewhat surprising.

Elucidating the subject, the actress told TV Line, "I didn't think that they'd go that far with it, honestly," adding, "I thought, 'Shes probably just inside the rock. Stuck.' But all my ideas are quite boring. The writers' imaginations are much better than mine."

Later, talking to Zap2It, Chole Bennet, who portrays the character of Agent Skye a.k.a. Daisy Johnson in the show, shared the same sentiment, saying, "I didn't guess it. I was like, oh, OK, we're going there. That's happening now. It will be good."

Meanwhile, Henstridge also confirmed that the experience transforms the character by some means, but she did not explain the details. She further stated that her hardships and experiences, the things Simmons will endure, will reverberate throughout Season 3 something like an underlying theme.

TVLine reports that recently they conducted a poll on the upcoming season of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 3 and 34 percent viewers speculated that the Kree monolith will eject Simmons immediately after it took her in. However, the character will be changed and may even possess new powers. In the series, Simmons is shown as an agent who is vehemently against the aliens and all Inhumans, but this change, if it comes true, may transform Simmons' views regarding them, as she now becomes one of them.

On the other hand, Zap2It states that 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 3 will to be less about Hydra, suggesting that the upcoming sequel will instead concentrate on the Inhumans as well as the formation of the Secret Warriors. In fact, the experiences of Daisy Johnson and Simmons may possibly be the key that will launch the main story preceding the upcoming "Inhumans" film scheduled for 2019.

'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 3 will premiere on Sept. 29 on ABC.
