Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' is ending its run for the year with Tuesday's midseason winter finale entitled "What They Become," and fans and viewers will finally find out what becomes of The Bus and the lives of the S.H.I.E.L.D. team.

During the previous episode of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," fans and viewers were shown Daniel Whitehall giving the final order to shoot down the S.H.I.E.L.D. team's headquarters, a.k.a. The Bus. It seemed like S.H.I.E.L.D. had no way to get out of this mess and fans could only await the next episode to see if Hydra does manage to take down The Bus once and for all.

The official synopsis released by ABC is also serving to amp up anticipation and speculation for the show's midseason winter finale. As the synopsis goes:

"Coulson and Whitehall's forces meet in an explosive confrontation that dramatically alters everyone's fates. Meanwhile, Skye discovers shocking secrets about her past."

The show's executive producer Maurissa Tancharoen played coy, and when asked about The Bus by Entertainment Weekly, she simply said, "Our team is in grave danger."

However, she said that viewers will find out what happens to The Bus pretty quickly once the episode airs, joking that the writers wanted to put the team on "quintjets" instead.

As for the official synopsis hinting at Skye's shocking past, hints have appeared throughout the past few episodes that Skye's real identity could be that of Hyde's daughter, Daisy Johnson.

Clues have appeared hinting that the Doctor is really Mr. Hyde, a superhuman from the Marvel Comics that showed super strength and suffered from fits of rage. There is also the fact that the Doctor has been insistent that Skye is not her real name.

The official promotional images and the trailer that have been released by ABC also showed Skye confronting the Doctor and possibly finding out the truth of her parentage from the man himself.

For now though, fans and viewers have to wait for the episode to find out the fate of The Bus, Skye and the members of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"What They Become," the midseason finale of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.', will air Tuesday at 9 pm on ABC.
