‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Season 2 Spoilers: New Promo Trailer Shows Major Series Changes [VIDEO]

If the recently released midseason trailer of 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Season 2 titled "Aftershocks" is anything to go by, the upcoming episodes of the show will undergo several changes.

The trailer shows the former civilian hacktivist Skye's (Chloe Bennet) transformation into an Inhuman. According to Christian Today, it is quite surprising to see her imprisoned in a room with a "Danger" caution on the glass door. It video clip also shows that Skye is in great difficulty trying to control her powers when she succeeds in blowing off a lighting fixture even without any effort.

Fans can also see Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) joining Skye in the enclosed area. Apparently, Fitz may possibly be helping out Skye to ascertain what actually happened to her. Nevertheless, he appears to be sincerely affected with the changes displayed by Skye in her new avatar.

In addition, fans can also see a new creature in the 'Aftershocks' trailer. Precisely speaking, the video shows a strange hand swathed in spikes appearing mysteriously on screen, which has given rise to speculations that the hand belongs to Raina (Ruth Negga). Viewers will recall that Raina too transformed into an Inhuman before the 'Agents of SHIELD' midseason finale.

Eariler, Clark Gregg, who plays the role of S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Phil Coulson, teased that the second half of the series' Season 2 will concentrate on Skye's transformation and also the consequences of Triplett's (BJ Britt) death whilst trying to save Skye.

Zap2It quotes Gregg saying, "I don't think the whole team is going to be unified behind what just went on, and it's hard to blame them. He's got a couple of people that he's come to really trust."

The actor added, "One of my favorite things about this season is that everybody comes up to me on the street really worried about Fitz and these new characters we introduced this year. Coulson also has these new people ... he doesn't have the same type of history with those people. It's going to be hard to hold the baby brand new, on the run SHIELD together in the wake of what just happened."

'Marvel's Agent of SHIELD' Season 2 midseason will premiere on ABC on March 3.
