'Agent Carter' Season 2 Spoilers, News: Filming Begins, New SSR Boss in New Season
In the upcoming season of Marvel's 'Agent Carter,' fans will see a new boss in town. In fact, Marvel took to their Twitter account to give the fans a glimpse of what they can expect when the show returns for its second season on ABC.
Latin Post reports that the tweet revealed that production for 'Agent Carter' Season 2 has commenced and it also featured a picture of the door to the office of the SSR Chief with the name Daniel Sousa on it.
Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly quotes series executive producer Michele Fazekas saying, "We can say that Thompson has taken over SSR New York, but he's also not the head of the whole agency." Fazekas further said, "And keep in mind, the SSR was somewhat based on the OSS, and we know this because when [Christopher] Markus and [Stephen] McFeely wrote Captain America, that was their inspiration. The OSS was somewhat disbanded after the war, because it was created because of World War II. So now that the war is over, things are changing."
Now that Roger Dooley (Shea Whigham) is dead in Season 1, agent Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray) will be taking charge of the New York SSR Headquarters. Nevertheless, fans are already aware Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) will be heading to Hollywood on a new mission in Season 2.
According to a report in Vine Report, Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) will be the new boss at the Los Angeles SSR Headquarters, which is certain to introduce a new vibrancy to the show. Aside from Sousa, Jarvis (James D'Arcy), who will have a more consistent role and will be spending plenty of time with Peggy Carter, will also be returning in 'Agent Carter' Season 2.
The executive producer also shared, "Without getting into too much, we have a nice, organic way to include Jarvis." He added, "That was a challenge. He's not an agent. The case from the first season was over, so the biggest question for us this season was: We love Peggy and Jarvis together, that's a really important relationship, so how do we keep them together? And LA has provided us a really nice, organic way to do so."
