To the excitement of many, actress Hayley Atwell has been extremely busy with Marvel Studios lately. What's more is that producers of Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' announced that she will make a guest appearance on the show. Beyond that, Atwell is also preparing her own independent series, 'Agent Carter'.

It has also been announced that Atwell will reprise her role as Peggy Carter in the upcoming 'Captain America' film installment. The same character will be focused upon in the TV series 'Agent Carter' that is set for a mid-season premiere on ABC.

Recently, Atwell shared several behind-the-scenes pictures on her Twitter account documenting her wardrobe. From a few photographs it appears that her hairstylists have drawn inspiration from Gene Tierney, an actress from the 1940s.

In fact, she will be wearing a wig throughout Marvel's 'Agent Carter'. It is expected that Atwell's hair will look like that of Tierney - something very similar to what Atwell wore in the historical drama 'Captain America: The First Avenger'.

Tierney was best known for films like 'Laura', 'Leave Her To Heaven' and 'The Ghost And Mr. Muir'.

On a side note, Atwell shared some of the inspiration for Peggy's costumes.

Marvel's 'Agent Carter' will be set in 1946 and it seems that the show will be embracing lots of the styles from the era. Fans can expect stockings with seams up the back and girdles underneath Peggy's dresses. Although she will be surrounded by men at work, it seems that Peggy will still be emphasizing on her femininity with her clothing.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that Marvel's 'Agent Carter' will air on ABC on Tuesdays at 9 pm EDT in the Winter after 'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' goes on break.
