Actor Ezra Miller Talks 'The Flash' Role in Zack Snyder's DC Universe Films

There's been a question every DC fan's mind and we've finally got chance to hear the thoughts of the actor who was cast to play The Flash in Zack Snyder's DC universe.

He was approached by MTV at the Sundance Movie Festival while promoting his new movie, "Stanford Prison Experiment". He was immediately asked about how the lifetime opportunity befell him and what he thought about it. Miller answered:

"I have Zack Snyder on the phone, and he wants to talk to you about this DC Universe thing'," Miller recalled. "And so [Snyder] got on the phone, and he's just gung ho. He's in it. He's completely involved. And he starts talking about how I'm going to play The Flash. And I was just in this state of shock and disbelief."

Apparently the "Perks of Being A Wallflower" actor was in Costa Rica at the time of the call and had no premonition of his candidacy for the role. It seemed to be completely formulated by Snyder before he even knew about the role.

The actor didn't even sound like he was a fan of the superhero franchise. That may perhaps be what Snyder wants, such as how director Josh Trask wanted to reinvent the characters within "Fantastic 4."

Miller hasn't acted in any action roles, more less superhero flicks, but there seems to be something about the actor that has caught the director's eye.

Miller has admittedly not started prepping for the role, but in all fairness it is projected three years away.

"I'm not running yet," he said, "Right now, I'm still in the stretching phase. I want to stretch for a while."

Fans will have to wait a bit longer until we see this actor grow into the superhero role.
