Critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Fernando Ortega is scheduled to perform on Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Closing Gala & Awards Dinner of Proclaim 18, the NRB International Christian Media Convention in Nashville, Tenn..

One of Christian music's most respected composers, Fernando Ortega has three Gospel Music Association Dove Awards and a Billboard Latin Music Award to his credit, while Ortega's Christian radio hits include "This Good Day," "Jesus, King of Angels," and "Sleepless Night." Renowned for his stirring arrangements of beloved hymns - "Give Me Jesus" and "Be Thou My Vision," among others - Ortega's solo discography features 18 projects in a heralded career spanning more than 25 years. Last month, Ortega released The Crucifixion of Jesus, his first project in six years, which brings together 11 contemplative songs and six readings. His works encompass modern hymns, liturgical songs, and inspirational and praise/worship favorites.

Others artists and speakers who will take the stage at Proclaim 18 include award-winning singer and songwriter Michael W. Smith; Kay Arthur, Co-Founder and CEO Emeritus of Precept Ministries International; David Jeremiah, Founder of Turning Point Radio and Television Ministries; Billy Kim, Chairman of the Far East Broadcasting Company in South Korea; Joel C. Rosenberg, Founder and Chairman of The Joshua Fund; and many more. The emcees of the Convention will be twin brothers, authors, and entrepreneurs David and Jason Benham.

Proclaim 18 will take place Feb. 27-March 2, 2018, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, while NRB's award-winning Exposition - featuring around 200 exhibitors - will be open Feb. 28-March 2.
