ABC's 'Agents of SHIELD' Spinoff Cast News: New Series will Star Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood
The Agents of SHIELD spin off, from ABC and Marvel is making more developments, and fans are excited about them. It has been revealed that Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood have been cast to play the lead roles in the potential series, as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.
Palicki plays Bobbi Morse, also known as Mockingbird, and she was seen as a guest star in Agents of SHIELD earlier this season, after which she was quickly given a regular role in the show. For those that may not know, Nick Blood portrays Lance Hunter.
Hunter and Morse were once husband and wife, and their relationship on the Marvel drama television show is charged with their loaded history.
The details of the show are still being kept quiet, but there have been rumors that new show will be set up by the events that took place in the last few episodes of Agents of SHIELD season 2.
The possible spin off is being developed specifically by executive producer of Agents of SHIELDÂ Jeffrey Bell, and writer Paul Zbyszewski. This show will be one of the two new projects as a result of the collaboration between ABC and Marvel which the network is looking at for next season.
The second project is a mystery which has been described as a reimagination of a superhero character that already exists from John Ridley, another executive producer.
While Agents of SHIELD has definitely been picked up for a third season, it is unclear whether the shoe Agent Carter will be returning for a second season.
Both of the series were picked up ahead of ABC's upfront presentation straight to series, and it is expected that one of the new series will be picked up in the same fashion.
