Aaron Hernandez Murder Trial News: 25-Year-Old Pats Player Pleads Not Guilty on All Charges

Aaron Hernandez could have been celebrating the Super Bowl win with the rest of the New England Patriots in the major game of the year. Instead, he sat in a court room awaiting his fate in a murder trial.

The former Patriot actually consoled the girlfriend of the person he is on trial for allegedly murdering. According to Reuters, this exchange took place at the Massachusetts homestead where he lived with his fiancée. The twist of the story is that his fiancée, Shaneah Jenkins is the sister of Shayanna. It was Shayanna's boyfriend, Odin Lloyd, a semi-pro football player who was found brutally shot to death.

Reuters noted that Shayanna recently testified during the trial and spoke about the exchange where Hernandez had told her that he understood because he had "been through this death thing before," and that it would "get better with time." Shayanna Jenkins testified that she had received that horrifying phone call in June 2013 from the police to tell her that Lloyd was death.

Hernandez, a newcomer and future star had signed a $41 million contract with the National Football League, but was arrested days later in 2013 and charged with the deceased's murder.

Prosecutors on the case claim that Hernandez along with two of his friends picked up Lloyd at his Boston home on June 17, 2013 and drove him to an industrial park. This is where Lloyd's body was later found. The accomplices will be tried separately at a later time.

Reuters reports that the testimony given by Shayanna Jenkins told of her sister receiving text messages when Hernandez was not around and that her reaction to them was not normal. She also claimed that her sister made numerous trips to the basement, even once carrying a folded black garbage bag.

Hernandez has not only been charged with the murder of his fiancée's sister's boyfriend but also has charges against him for firearms. The former football stud, 25, has so far pled not guilty on all counts. Investigators on the case still have not recovered the firearm that was used to shoot Lloyd to death.

The judge of the case, Associate Justice Susan Garsh was recently removed a juror from the trial in Fall River, Massachusetts when expressing an opinion about the case and discussing attendance at the Patriot's game.

On a separate account, Hernandez has also been accused of killing two other men outside of a nightclub in Boston in 2012 and will be tried on those charges later in 2015.
