A.J Cooper Death News: Former BET Host and Political Activist Dies at Age 34

A.J. Cooper, aspiring politician and former host on the BET network died on Wednesday after reportedly mentioning that he was having chest pains. Cooper was 34-years-old when he met his untimely demise.

Some might recall that Cooper used to a host a show on BET called 'Teen Summit'. The show focused on the issues that teenage, African Americans deal with a daily basis.

Cooper attended school at the University of Maryland and served in the Marines. He also went on to work as a policy director for the campaign to prevent teen pregnancy. He had recently announced that he would be running for the council seat after Mayor-Elect Muriel Bowser was out of office.

Sadly, Cooper had also just proposed to his girlfriend, Ryan Palmer.

He died at his mother's house on Wednesday after complaining of chest pains and dizziness. No cause of death has yet to be released and BET has yet to give a statement on his passing.

A.J. Cooper had just attended a protest on December 1st to show his support for the people of Ferguson. He was always a huge advocate for helping to make a change in the lives of young African Americans. His friends say that A.J. was always trying to help promote the issues that young African Americans dealt with on a daily basis. He was always trying to make changes in their lives for the better.

Cooper's family is in mourning over his sudden death and his fans have been sending their love and kind words. They will have an autopsy done, but we do not yet know if they will release the details publicly.
