24 Karat Gold Plated Limited Edition iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus Available in China

Chinese company NavJack is offering a limited edition gold version of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which comes not with a gold color scheme, but with actual 24 karat gold plated casing.

Gold versions of smartphones have been making an appearance in recent weeks, such as the Lumia 830 and Lumia 930 from Microsoft. However, these gold phones were more about the colors, and NavJack is one-upping them all by coming out with an actual golden phone.

Images of it have appeared online, showing the carbon fiber finish at the back and the gold sheen that decorated the case. There is also a Gorilla Glass 3 added to the front of the iPhones, most likely to keep the screen more protected and scratch resistant.

Some will also be able to note the golden plating on the inside of the embedded Touch ID home button. The device also comes in a premium box labeled "Navjack Aphrodite" during shipping to give it a more exclusive touch. However, the hardware and contents of the phones will reportedly remain the same.

There is no word yet on the number of editions available or news about the price. Given its limited availability and its gold design, interested consumers can only assume that it's going to come at a hefty price.

NavJack isn't just offering the gold-plated phones though, as the Chinese company also offers luxury-edition, bejeweled models of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The Aphrodite iPhone 6 and Aphrodite iPhone 6 Plus comes with precious gems and stones, as well as a matching back panel with a unique design. Both are available with 64GB of internal memory, with the iPhone 6 version said to have a price of around $3687, while the iPhone 6 Plus version comes at $4314.

NavJack released a promotional video for its bejeweled Aphrodite phones on YouTube in October, but interested buyers will have to wait a while for more information on the gold-plated versions.
