In latest '23 Jump Street' movie rumors, Jenko (played by Channing Tatum) and Schmidt (Jonah Hill) are rumored to be joining forces with the 'Men in Black' in an upcoming film.

'21 Jump Street' and its newly released sequel '22 Jump Street' co-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller recently addressed the rumors in a recent discussion.

"Nothing's changed. It's still a crazy idea, and we only do things that seem like they're going to be terrible," said Lord to MTV News at this Golden Globes event's red carpet on January 11.

"We're really focusing on what's a great story for Schmidt and Jenko and how to tell the next chapter in their lives. And perhaps use creatures from another world at the same time."

In addition, Miller also discussed the possibility of legendary actors Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones reprising their iconic roles as Agent J and Agent K, respectively, in the potential blockbuster hit.

"We're developing a lot of things, you know," said Miller.

"And they may or may not all happen, but that's how the business works." It's a pretty vague answer, but not a definitive "no" just yet.

Previously, Tatum expressed his thoughts on making another sequel after the tremendous success the first two films made in the box office in 2012 and 2014 respectively.

"If we did a third one, it couldn't be in there [medical school]. I feel like that would be a cop-out," said Tatum to USA Today in an interview in reference to the end credits gag in the second film that jokingly announced in the next movie, that the heroes would go undercover inside a medical school.

"College was the obvious next step for us. We had to go there. I don't know what the next step is after college. Do we go and take down Enron? Or the government in D.C.? I feel like it's all redundant. The big running joke of the second movie is this is just going to be bigger and (crappier) than the first time. I don't know if that joke works three times so we'll see."

As of right now, there are no official reports regarding the actual release date of the upcoming '23 Jump Street' movie, but it is currently in development.
