2017 Hyundai Ioniq Launch News, Price & Specs Rumors: Summer Release Date Set For Plug-in Hybrid
There is scarce news on the exact 2017 Hyundai Ioniq release date, and the website of the Korean manufacturer only reveals that the Electric and Hybrid models will launch in winter, while the Plug-in hybrid will be out next summer.
The three models for the 2017 Hyundai Ioniq virtually have the same specs and features, except for the mechanical part. Whereas one uses the Plug-in charge capability with 8.9 kHw battery system, the other two uses the EV powertrain and hybrid powertrain.
Essentially, the Plug-in hybrid allows you to either choose between charging your car and pumping gas. The Ioniq Electric allows you to charge from home or work.
The interior of the three models of the 2017 Hyundai Ioniq is something to behold.
"Even those who value innovative powertrains appreciate nice things," the website said. "Ioniq delivers with a power tilt-and-slide sunroof, heated front seats and more. There's also an 8-inch touchscreen navigation system and Clari-FiTM Music Restoration Technology plus a rearview camera."
According to multiple news reports, the 2017 Hyundai Ioniq embraces green technology not just for its engine, but also its body as well. Recycled plastics, mixed with volcanic and sugarcane fibers are used for the carpet, interior, door trip and headliner of the car.
More than the specs, the safety features of the car is already worth the price tag. Chief among them are Lane Departure Warning, Smart Cruise Control Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection and Blind Spot Detection.
