2017 Grammy Nominations: Christian & Gospel Music Artists' Songs & Albums Recognized At 59th Grammy Awards
The nominations for the 59th Grammy Awards have just been announced, featuring the biggest names in both the mainstream music and Christian and gospel music industries.
Aside from the likes of Adele, Justin Bieber and Beyonce, Christian and gospel music artists like Lauren Daigle and Crowder are also being honored this year.
Daigle garnered a nomination for "Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song" for the hit "Trust in You," from her award-winning album How Can It Be. This is her second Grammy nomination ever since she started her career in the Christian music industry. Vying for the same award is newcomer Zach Williams, who received his first nomination for his single "Chain Breaker."
Meanwhile, American Prodigal by Crowder was nominated for "Best Contemporary Christian Music Album," marking his third consecutive Grammy nomination.
Hillary Scott received nominations for "Best Contemporary Christian Music Album" and "Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song" for her debut single "Thy Will."
Hosted by James Corden, the 2017 Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 12, 2017.
