2016 Presidential Election News: Celebrities Tweet Their Opinions & Support for Hillary Clinton’s Campaign

Hillary Clinton, the former First Lady and Secretary of State of the United States of America, announced this weekend that she will be running for president in the 2016 elections.

The candidate made the announcement on social media. In her video, she stated "I'm getting ready to do something too -- I'm running for president. So I'm hitting the road to earn your vote because it's your time and I hope you'll join me on this journey."

As soon as Clinton completed the announcement, celebrities shared their opinions vie social media. Beth Behrs tweeted "She's ready. We're ready. #ReadyForHillary let's do this #Hillary2016 #HillarysBigAnnouncement"

In addition, to her, several other stars seem to be ready to head for the ballot box. "I'm in," tweeted Carole King, simply, while Jesse Ferguson tweeted, "I have an announcement: I'm not running for president. Yay #Hillary2016 !"

Lena Dunham tweeted that she send Clinton a text saying "with you every step of the way, gurl," adding "#mypresident" at the end.

America Ferrara voiced her support of Clinton's campaign, writing "I believed in her then, I believe in her now. @HillaryClinton #mypresident Me and @ambertamblyn stumping in 2008," and Uzo Adoba, of Orange is the New Black, simply tweeted "Hillary."

It is clear that Hillary Clinton will have the vote of many celebrities and high profile individuals.

Last but not least, Magic Johnson said in a tweet, "@HillaryClinton will fight for the poor, middle class and embrace young people.
