1GN’s ‘Guard Your Heart’ To Debut On CHR Radio April 25
"Guard Your Heart," which is a cut from 1GN's sophomore album, "Unite," will debut on CHR Radio via PlayMPE.
The song is based on Proverbs 4:23-27, which says in part, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it ... Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways."
1GN's Lauryn Taylor Bach explained that they took inspiration from the bible verse considering that most of the interactions, particularly the youth of today, are concentrated around social media and the Internet.
"The images hitting us in pop culture are often overly sexualized and filled with hate, bullying, violence and division. We just want to encourage each other to guard our hearts from these things," she said.
"Guard Your Heart," is the fourth song on the sophomore album by 1GN. The all-girl trio consisting of Bach, Kayli Robinson and Carmen Hadley also launched the official music video for "Get Hype," as well as a new website.
Hollywood Jesus said that 1GN's "Unite" album is ideal for young girls looking for an inspiration because of the "powerful messages" and "infectious lyrics."
"[The] trio 1GN has created a collection of songs that are upbeat, uplifting, and unifying. The overall message of the album, to guard our hearts, is one that is relevant and needs to be heard today," Christian Beat added.
