The Season 9 premiere of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting started off with a bang with a lot of exciting news concerning wedding plans and expanding families.

Viewers were sent back to Arkansas to see what the large and loving family has been up to in the past months. The premiere showed Michelle and Jim Bob's third eldest daughter, Jessa, planning her wedding to Ben, who proposed to her during the last season. Also, there was an exciting announcement from Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard.

The premiere caught up with Jill and Derick, who are happily adjusting to married life. Derick said, "She's my best friend. We love being married."

Jessa and her fiancé, Ben Seewald, were excited as they sat down with Jessa's mother, Michelle, to discuss nuptial and reception plans. Jessa told Michelle that she wanted a simple and budget-friendly wedding. They also decided to visit their future home that they were to rent from Grandma Duggar. Since the airing of this episode, Jessa and Ben tied the knot at The First Baptist Church in November, and the reception was held at the Duggar's home.

Jill wanted to start preparing Derick for fatherhood and planned a sleepover for four of her younger siblings: Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn, and Josie. The children were ecstatic as the sleepover consisted of chocolate fondue, and painting nails.

Jill and Derick decided to share some exciting news during the family Bible study. They announced that they were pregnant with their first child. Jim Bob and Michelle and the rest of the family couldn't have been happier for the two. Jill later told the cameras that she actually stole a pregnancy test from her mother's medicine cabinet, ending the premiere with some laughs and joy.

19 Kids and Counting airs on Tuesday at 9 pm EST on TLC.
