'19 Kids and Counting' News: Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar Slated for First Interview After Scandal
Following the scandal of Josh Duggar being accused of and admitting to molesting underage girls as a young teen, the Duggar family has not had much to say.
However, Josh's parents, and the stars of TLC's hit reality show, 19 Kids and Counting, have announced that they are ready to speak up.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar will be giving their first interview to Fox News host, Megyn Kelly on June 3, with some of the parts of the interview airing on June 5th.
In a statement, the couple announced their intentions of sharing their thoughts about what has happened in an interview.
"Next week, we will sit down with Megyn Kelly on Fox News to share our hearts with you about the pain that we walked through as a family twelve year ago, the tears we all shed and the forgiveness that was given," said the couple. "We appreciate the outpouring of love and prayers for our family at this time."
This is the first interview that the family will give regarding the scandal.
It will be conducted in the family's hometown and will air on June 3rd at 9:00 pm ET. The additional footage will air during a one hour special on June 5th at 9:00 pm ET.
The news of the interview has come after TLC pulled the family's show, which was one of the network's highest rated, 19 Kids and Counting, from their line up.
TLC has not announced whether or not, they will cancel the show, but there has been speculation that they are considering a spinoff featuring Jill and Jessa Duggar.
