'19 Kids and Counting' News Jill Duggar & Derrick Dillard Celebrate Baby Israel's First Mother's Day

Mother's Day was very ceremonial for the Duggar-Dillard family yesterday as the '19 Kids and Counting' star celebrated her first Mother's day, she chose to do it by dedicating her new baby Israel in church while attending their usual Sunday service.

Indeed a Mother is a mother because of her child and Jill Duggar apparently wanted to make it really special as she celebrates her first year in being a mom to baby Israel by dedicating her baby with husband Derrick Dillard to Christ.

It wasn't a baptism yet, but it was still very ceremonial as a baby is dedicated to the Lord and witnessed by the church. The news went out when an insider from E! News revealed that indeed Duggar celebrated Mother's day with Baby Israel and Dillard in church.

"Baby Israel was dedicated today," the insider revealed to E! News adding, "It was a dedication from the parents to raise the child as a Christian." Of course the family was there and were reportedly very happy that day. "Jill looked great and her and Derick were as close as ever," the insider continued. "She stayed close to him. Everyone was really happy."

After church, Duggar decided to honor her mom through a video of her posted online. The video showed Duggar holding her charming baby boy wrapped in a swaddle cloth while wishing her mom Michelle Duggar a Happy Mother's day.

"So grateful to God for you as my mother and you're just a godly example of what a mother should be like and I hope to be like you," Duggar said adding, "You're just a great role model and a model of Christ really to all of us...Love you a lot."

Duggar's husband, Dillard also took some time to write on his blog a dedication to a mother close to his heart besides her wife Duggar. "My mom's story of battle and triumph over cancer is nothing short of a miracle, performed by the one true God, our Lord Jesus Christ," he wrote of his mom's current battle with a Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma adding, "Next to my wife, my mom is the most special woman in the world to me."
