'19 Kids and Counting' Josie Duggar News: Youngest Duggar Family Member Has a Seizure on Show

On Tuesday night's episode of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting, Josie Duggar, 5-years-old, had a seizure. This brought some intense drama to the reality series, as the Duggar family and their fans are now worried about her well-being.

Josie was a prematurely born baby and when she was born in 2010, she weighed less than two pounds.

Now, at five years of age, she remains incredibly fragile. The scene began while Josie's parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were away from home, attending a meeting in Chicago. The two left Grandma Duggar and Jana in charge of the family while they were away.

In the confessional, Jana, the couple's oldest daughter, said that Josie had been completely normal and playing as usual, until James asked her a question and she was unresponsive.

Shortly after she began to jerk and James recognized this as the sign of a seizure. The episode shows Jana as she is panicking and leaning over Josie, crying while Josie lies on the kitchen counter.

The director of 19 Kids and Counting Scott Enlow, was filming somewhere else on the property, but rushed in to the kitchen to try to keep Josie alive. Not long after this, the paramedics arrived and took control of the situation.

Jana relayed to them that Josie had been sick for about 10 minutes and that she was starting to turn blue.

The paramedic said that while she was bleeding, she had some vomit in her mouth, and then took her to the hospital,

Apparently, this was the third or fourth seizure that Josie has had. Josie had recovered by the time that her parents returned home.
