'19 Kids and Counting' Scandal News: Josh Duggar Under Pressure
Unfortunately, the once spotless reputation of the Duggar family was tarnished by Josh Duggar, the family's eldest son.
It was revealed earlier this year that he inappropriately touched young girls as a teenager, two of whom included his sisters, Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar.
Although there has been speculation that the public shame of this revelation may have become unbearable for Josh, the father of three discussed why he would not want his life to end over his controversial past.
"Suicide is not the answer in the family, nor is it the thought that Josh has," said a source to Hollywood Life.
This statement was made in reference to the June 24th report made by Star magazine, which claimed that Josh was considering taking drastic measures.
"He is getting through with the help of his friends and family, but killing himself has never crossed his mind," continued the source. "He sure [is] feeling the pressure of the situation but physical harm is not the end game."
While Josh has likely internalized many of the emotions he has had since his actions as a teen, he has had the firm support of his eighteen brothers and sisters, and his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.
Although he may be having a hard time coming to terms with his actions, his sisters, Jessa and Jill have stated that they have been able to forgive their brother and move forward from what happens.
While the reality television star's indiscretions should not be ignored or swept away, he likely find comfort knowing his family has his back.
