'19 Kids and Counting' Josh Duggar News: Reality Star Breaks Silence via Social Media about Scandal

Since the news broke that Josh Duggar was investigated in 2006 for molesting five underage girls as a teen, the reality television personality has been relatively quiet on social media.

However, he recently broke that silence. Duggar, one of the stars of 19 Kids and Counting, and his wife, Anna, both shared posts on their Instagram accounts wishing their son, Michael James, a happy 4th birthday.

The posts come almost two weeks after Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald, Josh's sisters, came forward and stated that they were two of his victims.

Josh shared a simple birthday wish for his son, while his wife posted a video of Michael blowing out the candles on a plate of cupcakes.

She captioned the photograph, "So glad to be in Arkansas celebrating Michael's 4th birthday. We love you Mikey!"

In a statement made to People magazine, Anna compared Josh's actions to teenage mistakes and was sure that he "had humbled himself before God and those whom he had offended."

His sister, Jessa, insisted that he is not a child molester, pedophile, or rapist, and said that he was "a young boy in puberty and a little too curious about girls", when he touched she and her sister Jill inappropriately.

She also added that she and her brother's other victims have already chosen to forgive him and moved past their anger.

Josh issued an apology for his actions last month, admitting that the allegations were true.

His parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, also appeared in an interveiw on Fox News to discuss the scandal.
