'19 Kids and Counting' Jill Duggar New Baby News Update: Volunteer Work This Close to Due Date?

Two months after their marriage, Jill (Duggar) Dillard and her new husband Derick announced that they were going to have a baby. Now, as Jill's due date was last week, March 24, the couple has yet to welcome their new addition. Instead of taking it easy, the two decided to volunteer at a local thrift store.

In a picture of the two, with a couple of friends, posted by Jill on Instagram, the caption read, "Volunteering at the Compassion Center this morning in Springdale, AR."

According to People The Compassion Center is a Christian organization that works to help underprivileged in the Little Rock area.

The 19 Kids and Counting star expected that she would deliver her baby past the due date, saying that most first-time-moms go a week and a half past their expected delivery date.

The two have kept track of the baby's progress through social media during Jill's pregnancy. They posted many photos of her growing baby bump and sweet pictures stating that they wouldn't wait to see "baby Dilly."

On a side note, Derick and Jill celebrated their one year anniversary on Sunday, March 29. The two are very excited to be parents and celebrated their anniversary by posting an old photo on Instagram that stated that the two were still deeply in love one year after their marriage.

Jill is the first daughter of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar to get married, according to E!.

Beyond all that, the 23-year-old is preparing to be a midwife, as she is going to school for it. She has previously helped deliver over 30 babies so it's safe to say she had a lot of experience bringing newborns into the world.
