'19 Kids and Counting' Jill Duggar New Baby News Update: First-Time Mom Expects to Go Over Due Date

Tuesday, March 24, was Jill (Duggar) Dillard's due date. However, the "19 Kids and Counting" star has not posted any birth news yet as she and husband Derick are still waiting for their new baby boy to arrive.

In an interview with People, Jill said she was "planning on the baby coming late, no big deal - if you have it in your head that way, you won't get discouraged."

She added, "I have told myself, 'First-time moms often go a week and a half over, so don't get discouraged,'" she said, "When everyone else is asking you, 'When are you going to have that baby?' The baby will come when the baby comes."

The couple has been very excited about their new arrival since the day they found out. They have been recording their journey on Instagram for several months. It started with a picture of the two holding a small pair of baby shoes with the caption, "We're expecting!!! So grateful to God for this new little blessing!!!"

Jill and Derick have been taking birthing classes in preparation for "Baby Dilly's" arrival. Jill said that she will have the baby at their home with the help of a midwife. Jill, 23, is also studying to be a midwife. Her exam is later this year and with the experience of delivering around 30 babies already, she feels that she is prepared.

"It is really exciting to be studying this when pregnant," she told People, "It takes on a whole different light when you are studying about what you are going through."

Derick, 26, and Jill are expecting their baby to come between March 24 and April 5.
