Xbox One Halo 5 Release Date News: Game Arriving Fall 2015; To Be Featured at E3 2014 Conference
Beyond Entertainment has announced the release of Halo 5: Guardians for the Fall of 2015, and an exclusive partnership with Microsoft's Xbox One.
Game and software developers will have VIP access to sneak peeks at special demos during the Electronic Entertainment Expo on June 10 to 12. Experts are seeing a brighter future for Halo, including a Halo TV show produced by Steven Spielberg, according to Metro UK.
In an interview with The Guardian, 343 Industries's Bonnie Ross talked about the details of bringing Halo 5 to Xbox One.
"When we left him in Halo 4, he's in a really challenging position. He's questioning many things he once firmly believed were true. He's lost his best friend. He's questioning his past and his purpose. He's questioning who he is fighting for," she said about the iconic protagonist, Master Chief.
343 Industries is a game developer based in Kirkland, Washington commissioned by Microsoft to oversee the production of Halo 5. Ross added that the fifth installment of Microsoft's biggest game tackles Master Chief's past and future life.
"If you look at Halo 1, 2 and 3 and know the origin story and know the fiction well, Master Chief is our hero, he is you, and he is saving humanity. But it's been at a huge cost to his life and there are things going on - you saw them in [Halo] 4 - that make him question who is calling the shots. Is he doing the right thing? That's very interesting for us to explore," 343 Industries general manager and studio head Ross told the publication.
