'Sherlock' Season 4 Premiere Date, Rumors: Steven Moffat Teases Next Season, Sherlock Holmes’ Apartment Revealed

Aside from talks about a spring production, "Sherlock" co-creator Steven Moffat revealed that season 4 is set to be better than its predecessor. Also, the apartment of the titular hero had also been revealed.

In his interview with Entertainment Weekly, Moffat said that they had a plan to top it, adding that the plan they had was devastating. "Sherlock's" co-creator also mentioned that they had practically reduced their cast to tears telling them the plan. For Moffat they were probably more excited that they had never been about "Sherlock."

In May 2015, Moffat also reportedly told the BAFTA winner press conference that the season 4 production would commence in spring. The co-creator also teased during the press conference that fans would see an emotional upheaval as the show's plot progresses in the upcoming season. As per Digital Spy, this could leave fans "in awe" until the series' season 5.

In other news, production designer Arwel Wyn Jones has let fans had their first look at the behind-the-scenes images from the set of "Sherlock" season 4. Jones took to his Twitter account social media images, such as one showing the door to the 221B Baker Street where Homes and his friend Dr. John Watson live. The production designer also shared an image of the wallpaper that they would use in the filming of "Sherlock" season 4, which starts in spring.

"Sherlock" season 4 is set to premiere in early 2017 on BBC. Meanwhile, the DVD of the show's New Year's Day Special was released on Jan. 12 and can be ordered here.
