Samsung Android 4.4.4 Update Galaxy S5, S4, Note 3; Roll Out Device List and Latest News on Kitkat

Owners of a Samsung Galaxy S5, S4, Note 3 or 2 should get ready to receive the Android 4.4.4 update on their devices relatively soon.

To install the the update, users have to clear up 285 MB space, have a secure internet connection, and a fully charged battery.

Evidently, the update is going to roll out before the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is officially released.

Beyond the aforementioned devices that are receiving the update, the Note 3 LTE, Galaxy S4 LTE, and Note 3 Neo will be able to download Android 4.4.4. However, other devices that users are looking to update which have not been mentioned in Samsung's announcement, are S4 Mini Duos, S4 Mini, Note 2, Note 2 LTE, Grand 2 Duos and Grand 2.

The operating system which is more advanced than the current 4.4.2 offers better security enhancements and bug fixes. The system should also enables faster downloads and makes multitasking between applications easier.

Users will receive a notification over OTA and should tap on the "Download now" prompt. Users can then select the "Install now" option. Users can also download the software through manual settings. One can go to Settings and check for software updates under "Software Updates."
