'Insurgent' Movie Release Date, Spoilers: Divergent 2 - A Looming Love Story For Tris and Four?

Even though 'Insurgent', the sequel to the blockbuster film 'Divergent', is looking at a March 21, 2015 release date, the Internet is already abuzz about deviation from the book series. The trilogy of books, written by Veronica Roth, have the same names as the films, and the final piece to the puzzle is 'Allegiant'.

According to reports, the latest addition to the film's cast is Jonny Weston of 'Chasing Stars', who is set to play Edgar in upcoming 'Insurgent' film. His character will supposedly be a threat to the peaceful love affair of the film's main characters, Tris and Four.

Although the book's author denied reports that the 'Insurgent' screenplay writers are planning to twist Tris and Four's love story, rumors about that haven't completely disappeared. Fans of the best-selling novel already expressed disapproval of the alleged love triangle in Insurgent, saying that they believe it will 'ruin' the film's story.

Amid the predominating love triangle trend in teen-oriented films and books, Roth's 'Divergent' franchise seems to be the only one that firmly defied the trend, making the story unique from all the other equally successful film adaptations of best-selling novels.

'Insurgent' will be closely followed by 'Allegiant', the third installment to the film franchise, which is said to have been cut into two parts to give 'Divergent' fans something more to look out for. 'Allegiant' is expected to premiere in theaters in March 18th of 2016, just a year after 'Insurgent' debuts on big screens in 2015.

Film production for 'Insurgent' is currently in full swing. The cast and crew for the highly anticipated 2015 movie are currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia.
