Brandon Heath Marries Over Memorial Day Weekend in Nashville; Mandisa Captures Moment on Instagram (VIDEO)
There has been much talk over the elaborate super star wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West this Memorial Day weekend, but it was also a big weekend for contemporary Christian artist Brandon Heath who wed as well. Heath was happy to celebrate his wife over social media for all to see.
"I'm the happiest guy on planet earth! World, meet my bride Mrs. Siebe Heath," the singer posted along with a selfie (Picture Above) with his bride.
The singer announced on Twitter that he and his bride Siebe were married on Sunday night in Nashville Tennessee. The two were engaged for a little over five months and Heath could not wait to share the news with his fans and supporters.
"I'm a blessed man to marry such a beautiful woman, inside and out. Her heart is soft and her mind is inspiring. Siebe is compassionate and empathetic to all people, and I can't think of a better person to do life with. We've been friends for years and dated for the last two years. We are ready for this next step in our lives, knowing that God will be in the center," a post on Facebook said.
"Country artist & songwriting star, Deana Carter sang for the couple's first dance and guests enjoyed a biscuit bar & wedding cake," Heath's Facebook said. "As a gift to their friends and family, the bride and groom donated a well in the names of their wedding guests via Blood:Water Mission."
Heath proposed to his bride while on the Hits Deep Tour alongside TobyMac, Mandisa, and others in December in New York City. The singer announced his engagement during his set. In between songs the Nashville native stopped and said, "Today's been a emotional day for me. Not only am I playing Madison Square Garden but I asked my girlfriend to marry me."
He went into detail about the proposal and said, "I took her to the Central Park ice skating rink, got on one knee and proposed. She said yes!"
Similar to the way Heath shared of his marriage over the weekend, he was eager to share that with the sold out crowd then whose simultaneous awes echoed in the theater.
In the past when asked about relationships, Heath admitted to knowing heartbreak. During a former interview with Back Seat Writer, Heath confessed, "Sometimes we try to be strong, acting as if nothing is wrong and hoping that we will just get over losing a relationship. What's important is that you grieve when those things happen. When something hurts, mourn it, let it hurt you, and go through that; and then you will find your joy on the other side."
Fans could not be happier Heath found himself on the other side and is now happily married as they poured in the congratulatory messages on his Instagram pictures.
Heath's friend and popular singer Mandisa, also shared his enjoyment. The singer shared a video on her Instagram of the joyous occasion in which those in attendance can be heard cheering on the newly wed couple. See clip below.
