New reports are claiming that rapper Big Sean might just be ready to take the next step in his relationship with Ariana Grande. For Christmas, the hip-hop artist allegedly bought his girlfriend a custom ring as a sign of his commitment to her, to which insiders reported that Big Sean is very much in love with the "Break Free" singer.

Last year, the rapper was engaged to 'Glee' star Naya Rivera while Ariana was dating Jai Brooks. However, this past October, the two (Big Sean and Ariana Grande) confirmed that they were officially a couple.

Ariana told The Telegraph, "He is one of the most amazing men in the whole world, and that includes my grandfather and my brother... I think the world of him, and he's an amazing person. That's kind of all there is to it."

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Big Sean admitted, "Ariana is very, very special. She's very special to me."

When Sean's grandmother, Mildred Leonard, passed away on December 19^th, Ariana acted as a rock for her boyfriend. Mildred was a huge driving force in Sean's life, and he was devastated after her loss.

He posted a tribute to his grandmother on Instagram a couple days after her death, writing, "I'm having a hard time accepting her death, but I must acknowledge my grandma's life, a true hero... She made a better life for me and the rest of my family, and I will forever be grateful I got to know and be loved by such an amazing woman!"

Ariana Grande's show of support and solidarity in Sean's time of need has strengthened their relationship, and may be part of the reason Sean is thinking about the next phase in their relationship.
