Underoath Reunion at Self Help Fest 2016; Aaron Gillespie is Back and the Band Doesn't Rule Out New Music [WATCH HERE]
Metalcore band Underoath is back and in a brand new interview on AP, vocalists Spencer Chamberlain and Aaron Gillespie announce the hiatus is done.
After many weeks of speculation on Underoath's social media and website after they posted "Rebirth is Coming," the rumors have finally come to rest. Gillespie has returned and the band will be playing a show at the Self Help Fest in San Bernardino, California March 19th in 2016.
Watch the announcement below on YouTube:
Gillespie said the show was "offered" to them and they felt it was a good time to get together again. The other rumor of the band playing both Define the Great Line and They're Only Chasing Safety back to back is also partially true.
"It'll probably be [Define The Great Line in full] and then, depending on how much time we have, some songs off of They're Only Chasing Safety and some songs off Lost In The Sound [Of Separation]," said Chamberlain to AP. "I'd play every record front-to-back if I could!"
The pair of vocalists also said this would not be a one off show, but are uncertain when and how often they will be getting back together to play. They have also not ruled out another record. "Like, will we ever write another song? Maybe. You just never know. I haven't been in a room with those guys in a long time"¦" said Chamberlain.

Just earlier this year Underoath debuted a documentary of their final tour that also showed the band coming to it's end. 'Tired Violence' was made possible by crowd funding from the fans, and all the band members got together for various interviews and promotions.
We recently spoke to bands Silent Planet and The Ongoing Concept about Underoath's impact on music. Read what they had to say here.
