'The Voice' Season 11 Cast News: Judge Miley Cyrus Wants Her Singers To Emulate Bernie Sanders?
In a recent interview with Elle, Miley Cyrus revealed the advice that she would like to give her singers in the upcoming season of "The Voice," and it mostly involve Bernie Sanders.
It can be recalled that after being an advisor for Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams in last year's "The Voice," the singer has signed on to be a full-time coach for season 11.
"I don't want this to come off the wrong way, but I'm going to tell my contestants: Be Bernie Sanders. Be the person that people want and love. Don't worry about the masses. That's how you make a memorable moment. Let people talk about it," she said during the interview.
The singer has been a supporter of Sanders since before. In fact, a video posted on Twitter in April, Cyrus called the popular Vermont senator a "bad--in supporting the LGBT community."
As a coach next season, Cyrus is expected to introduce out-of-the-box ideas to the show. She is joining the talent search this coming fall alongside Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, as well as fellow new coach Alicia Keys.
In a recent promo for "The Voice" season 11, the singer said, "I grew up in a family where we kind of understood the business. My dad, he didn't when he first started. He had no idea where to go or what to do or how to even have people listen to your music. When I wanted to make this my life, when I wanted to be an entertainer, my family kind of knew, 'Ok, this is how you get started."
"The Voice" season 11 premieres on September 19, 8:00 P.M. on NBC.
