'The Good Wife' Season 6 aired its third episode on Oct. 5, entitled "Dear God," and also unveiled a speak peek preview of Episode 4, "Oppo Research."

Fans of 'The Good Wife' can remember that they were left hanging at the end of Season 5, about whether or not Alicia Florrick (Juliana Margulies) would run as State Attorney.

'The Good Wife' Season 6 returned with Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) pushing Alicia Florrick to run as State's Attorney. Alicia seemed reluctant at first, but expressed interest when Robyn asked Alicia if she really wanted to run.

However, to the dismay of many, details about Alicia's journey to State Attorney were not seen in the last three episodes of the series.

Instead, the story focused on Cary's (Matt Czuchry) arrest and Diane (Christine Baranski) deciding whether or not to leave law firm, Lockhart & Gardner.

The next episodes of 'The Good Wife' continued where it first few left off; Alicia's grand campaign day, when she finally comes to a decision about running for office.

A 53-second video teaser of the next episode of 'The Good Wife', entitled "Oppo Research," shows Alicia saying "I'm thinking of running for State's Attorney."

The promotional video also alerted the viewers that the event reportedly marks a fresh start for the lawyer, but could possibly be the end of her career as well.

Robert King, the show's co-creator stated that Alicia Florrick will need to step over some bigger hurdles in 'The Good Wife' Season 6.

Alicia Florrick will reportedly be facing new obstacles including her former husband Peter Florrick (Chris North).

Peter showed disdain over Gold convincing Alice to run for office, and persuades him to support another prominent person to run for State's Attorney, someone other than his spouse.

Gold will reportedly be balancing the two legal powerhouses' different ideals while trying to save their marriage, if Alicia is ever elected as State's Attorney.

The move will form tension and possibly end the relationship between the two, according to Bustle.

'The Good Wife' Season 6 Episode 4 "Oppo Research" will air 9:00 pm on CBS on Sunday, Oct.12.
