The 'A.D. Series' Presents The Holy Spirit on Prime Time TV; Roma Downey Tells Rick Warren It Has to Be The Biggest Part [VIDEO]
NBC presented episode 3 of 'A.D. The Bible Continues' this past Sunday with its most powerful episode yet, the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit comes down to earth to live in Christ's followers. Roma Downey sits down with famous Pastor Rick Warren to discuss the powerful experience.
In an interview executive producer Downey discussed the incredible role of The Holy Spirit in A.D. The Bible Continues with husband/co-producer Mark Burnett and Saddleback Pastor Rick Warren.
"We knew that a big part of this story was going to be and had to be the Holy Spirit," Downey said, "because I believe that once the heart is open then grace and God moves in and does the rest."
"Pentecost which will be in Episode 3 is just spectacular," she continued, "Mark and I always speak that the star of the show is the Holy Spirit."

'A.D. The Bible Continues aired on Easter Sunday on NBC and social media lit up with positive comments and reviews on episode 1 of the 12 episode series. Given the massive response in viewership the series has been named NO.1 on broadcast TV and to make things better its powerful message is reaching millions.
'A.D. The Bible Continues' picks up where the smash hit miniseries "The Bible" left off, continuing the greatest story ever told and exploring the exciting and inspiring events that followed the crucifixion of Christ.
The immediate aftermath of Christ's death had a massive impact on his disciples, his mother Mary, and key political and religious leaders of the era, completely altering the entire world in an instant. 'A.D. The Bible Continues' will focus on the disciples who had to go forward and spread the teachings of Christ to a world dominated by political unrest and the start of a whole new religion that would dramatically reshape the history of the world.
The series was produced by husband and wife duo Roma Downey ("The Bible") and Mark Burnett ("The Bible," "The Voice").
Juan Pablo di Pace, the critically acclaimed Argentinean actor, plays Jesus. Di Pace leads an accomplished cast hailing from more than 10 different nations, including John - Babou Ceesay (Gambia); Mary Magdalene - Chipo Chung (Zimbabwe); James - Denver Isaac (Zimbabwe); Arik - Nicholas Pinnock (Jamaica); Simon The Zealot - Fraser Ayers (Scotland/Black); Ananias - Peter De Jersey (Britain); Mother Mary - Greta Scacchi (Italy); Thomas - Johannes Johannesson (Iceland); Judas - Cesare Taurasi (Italy); and Boaz - George Georgiou (Greece).
