'Spider-Man' Rumors, News: Villain for Solo Film to Be Kraven?

The main villain for the 'Spider-Man' reboot has been a topic of conversation for quite some time now, and a recent report from Heroic Hollywood has claimed they might just know who it'll be.

Umberto Gonzalez has reason to believe that Kraven will be the villain for the superhero's first solo film, as a recent purchase from Sony Vice President of Creative Affairs, Karen Moy has suggested that the team is closely looking into the villain.

One of his sources has reported that Moy has bought a copy of 'Kraven's Last Hunt' from Amazon, and while it was unlikely that she would buy the issue herself, more investigating has brought more evidence to light.

"I did some additional sleuthing and a quick search of Karen Moy on the leaked Sony emails database over on Wikileaks reveals that she has previously made book purchases on Amazon for her former boss Amy Pascal. In my experience, where there is smoke there is fire.

"This can't be a coincidence. Why would the head of the story department buy a trade paperback about one of Spider-Man's greatest foes for anything OTHER than research purposes? It's safe to say Sony is looking into the possibility of Kraven as their bad guy," writes Heroic Hollywood.

Kraven has yet to appear in any live action Spider-Man medium, which would make this the villain's debut in not only the MCU, but on the big screen.

"In the comics, Kraven the Hunter (a.k.a. Sergei Kravinoff) is the world's greatest big game hunter. Kraven believes that capturing and killing Spider-Man would cement his place in history. He doesn't use weapons, but has superhuman strength, agility and senses that allow him to take down any prey with just his bare hands," writes Heroic Hollywood.
