'Spider Man' Reboot Cast News: Matthew McConaughey to Play Norman Osborn in 'Spider-Man'?

Matthew McConaughey is something of a household name when it comes to revamping old versions of things, especially movies.

He has gained some momentum in Hollywood after being the go to actor for the male lead in romantic comedies in the late 2000s, and later become a critically acclaimed actor, winning awards on the big and small screen alike.

With all of this turning McConaughey into an A list actor, it is not surprising that Warner Bros./DC Entertainment and Disney/Marvel Studios has been trying to snag him to play a role in their next comic book adaptation collaboration.

McConaughey has been reported to have said that he would not mind playing a character in the Marvel or DC cinematic universe, if the right role came along, and now it seems that it has.

According to rumors, having to do with the two studios' new Spider-Man feature, it may be clear which role is the right one. According to The Hashtag Report, Matthew McConaughey may be on his way to play Norman Osborn in the new Spider-Man film.

This is only a rumor and it has not been confirmed by any of the studios or the actor himself as yet, but the rumor says that he is being "eyed" for the part.

Norman Osborn is a character that has been central to both of the Spider-Man movie series that have been developed in the last ten years.

The character has been played previously with Willem Dafoe and Chris Cooper, and is extremely important to the franchise.

Though Osborn has been the Green Goblin in Spider-Man films of late, he may have a different role this time around.
