'Spider-Man: Homecoming' News: Film Features Rift Scene With The Vulture?

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will follow the superhero as he strikes a balance between his high school and vigilante life.

Spoilers for the upcoming film suggest that "Homecoming" will feature a high school dance scene and a fight scene with The Vulture and Gwen Stacy.

According to Marvel president Kevin Feige, the film will resemble the movies of John Hughes as it features a high school homecoming dance scene. Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Tom Rothman also added that "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will not be just another homecoming party in high school, but also a welcome party for Spider-Man to the Marvel Universe.

There are speculations that during the homecoming party, one of the enemies of Spider-Man, The Vulture, will gatecrash and fight with the web-slinger inside the school premises.

In other news, "The Nice Guys" star Angourie Rice will join the cast of "Spider-Man: Homecoming." The actress will reportedly make her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Gwen Stacy, but Marvel Studios has yet to confirm the report.

Marvel comics portray Gwen Stacy as one of the most popular love interests of Spider-Man, next to Mary Jane Watson. The character has already been featured in live-action films, including "Spider-Man 3" and "The Amazing Spider-Man."

There are also reports that Michelle, played by pop singer Zendaya, will be the new love interest of Peter in the upcoming film. Two "Avengers" members, Captain America and Iron Man, are also set to make an appearance in the film.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is set for release on July 7, 2017.
