Fiona is set to stop from having romantic relationships following Sean, along with career troubles in "Shameless" season 7.

According to Ecumenical News, Fiona is going to enjoy her single status for a while, after her disheartening break-up with her former fiance Sean. As per the publication, the ex-couple were supposed to have their wedding in "Shameless" season 6 finale; however, it did not transpire, with Fiona's father Frank as the mastermind.

As per Frank's point of view, Sean was drug addict and that he was very secretive for a long span of time. Being honest, Sean admitted all Frank's statements, prior to the start of their wedding. The event resulted to the duo's split up, with Fiona feeling flattened due to what happened.

Being fed up with her previous relationships, Fiona is not set to date anyone for a while in "Shameless" season 7, according to series executive producer Nancy Pimental.

In her interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Pimental said that one got away with a lot of stuff in her early 20s where she could be a party girl and bounce from guy to guy and have every opportunity she wanted; however, getting into her late 20s means things became not so cute anymore.

Even Fiona's career is devastated due to her and Sean's separation. In the same interview, Pimental said that Fiona's split with Sean would see her to have to get yet another job. She added that the storyline presents a future where Fiona would have more responsibility, but her money trimmed, since she had not paid taxes.

"Shameless" season 7 is set to air in early 2017 on Showtime.
