Samsung Galaxy TabPro S Release Date, Specs, Price: Fans Anticipate March 16 As Early Reviews Prove Encouraging

The anticipation is building up as the release date of the 12-inch Samsung Galaxy TabPro S, which combines the functionality of the laptop and the mobility of the tablet, draws near.

According to The Inquirer, pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S have already started in the UK.

The new device was formally announced at this year's CES. Among the most anticipated specs for Samsung Galaxy TabPro S is its AMOLED screen with 2160x1440 resolution.

Despite being touted as among the thinnest devices powered by Windows 10, Samsung didn't scrimp on the specs for the Galaxy TabPro S. At its heart is Intel's fanless Core M processor along with 4GB of RAM.

Fast charging features will also please consumers as its 5,200mAh battery-with nearly 11-hour lifespan-can be fully charged in 2.5 hours. It's also very thin at 6.3mm and quite light at just 693g.

"Other internal specs include NFC, 11ac Wi-Fi with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and there's also LTE Cat 6 listed although you can choose a Wi-Fi only model if you don't need a cellular data connection," PC Advisor added.

Powered by Windows 10 2-in-1, the Samsung Galaxy TapPro S will likely retail at $1,200 or £849, a price point that some tech websites claim might be a turnoff for consumers. For instance, the Surface Pro is about $150 cheaper

Another turnoff in terms of specs is the absence of a full-size USB port, although the device comes with a multi-port adaptor as an accessory. It's not clear if the accessory is included in the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S price.

Samsung Galaxy TabPro S will have an expected release date of March 2016.
