Marvel Spider-Man News: Standalone 'SpiderMan' Movie Releases July 28, 2017

Those who are hardcore Spider-Man fans will be delighted to find out that Spider-Man belongs to Marvel once again. However, thanks to complex and extensive contractual technicalities, Sony still has rights to use the character, and will be taking advantage of these rights by developing an animated movie that is set to be released in 2018.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be producing and possibly directing this film. At the same time, Marvel is taking steps to insert Peter Parker into their cinematic universe as quickly as possible.

It is expected that he will make an appearance in Captain America: Civil War, which will be released next year and in doing so, set the foundation for the stand alone Spider Man movie to appear in 2017.

After this time, the character will also be playing a part in Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2.

Latino Review has reported rumors that the stand alone Spider-Man movie will be entitled Spider-Man: The New Avenger.

Apparently, the title The Spectacular Spider-Man was previously considered, but did not seem to be an original idea following The Amazing Spider-Man.

The new name for the film, will definitely make it clear to fans and viewers that the latest version of the character is different from those previously portrayed by Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire.

It also suggests that Marvel will not be wasting any time in making Spider-Man one of the key figures in their cinematic universe. This is all based on a rumor, and has not been confirmed as yet.

However, production will be starting on Captain America: Civil War soon, which means that the newer, younger, Spider-Man will be cast.

Whatever it will be called, the newest Spider-Man film will be brought to the big screen by Marvel on July 28th, 2017.
