Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye News: 'Avengers' Superhero Set to Appear in 'Captain America: Civil War'

Superhero fans are already gearing up for the massive onscreen Marvel showdown set to explode from "Avengers: Age of Ultron." But super fans are still keeping their eyes on the development of the next big one, and what is expected from 2016's "Captain America Civil: War."

On that note, one character joining in on the fun is Hawkeye. As reported by Cinema Blend, Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye will be joining the long list of characters already known to be in the next Captain America movie.

Chris Evans will be joined by Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark, Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Spider-Man (yet to be named), Crossbones (Frank Grillo), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).

The news was originally reported by The Hollywood Reporter noting an extremely busy 2015 for Renner with roles in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Mission: Impossible 5," "Story of Your Life," and "Blade Runner."

The report revealed that the in demand star will start shooting for Joe and Anthony Russo's "Captain America: Civil War" this spring.

A few months back, Renner was quoted saying he hasn't had "any official conversations" about a role in the third Captain America movie.

Hawkeye was notably absent in the events that transpired in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," and fans should be excited to see which side he chooses following the implementation of the Superhero Registration Act.

Recently, a solo Hawkeye poster for "Avengers: Age of Ultron" was revealed, with Renner's character looking "more somber than ever," as pointed out by Cinema Blend.

Fans have already speculated about a major casualty in the second Avengers film, with the arrow-slinging hero named as potential casualty. But now that Hawkeye has been confirmed to appear in "Captain America: Civil War," it appears that Renner's character will be surviving the epic clash.

"Captain America: Civil War" is slated to hit the big screen in the middle of 2016.
