Iraqi Children Told ISIS 'No, We Love [Jesus]' Before Being Martyred, Said Vicar of Baghdad (VIDEOS)
Due to their strong Christian faith, four Iraqi children under the age of 15 years old were beheaded by the Islamic terrorist group ISIS for not denouncing Jesus, according to the Vicar of Baghdad canon Andrew White.
White, an Anglican priest, first broke the heartbreaking story about the atrocities committed by the ISIS soldiers against the bold young Christians. The soldiers shouted, "You say the words that you will follow Muhammad" before ultimately beheading the little martyrs of Christ.
"They said, 'No, we love Yasua (which means Jesus.). We have always loved Yasua. We have always followed Yasua. Yasua has always been with us,'" said White, according to a Charisma News report.
"[The militants] said, 'Say the words!' [The children] said, 'No, we can't do that.' They chopped all their heads off."
Additionally, White divulged other heinous crimes committed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria against Christian families in the Middle East. In one example, he talked about a Christian man who was ordered to publicly denounce his faith and convert to Islam, if he wanted his children to be spared by ISIS soldiers.
"He was desperate, he said the words. And then he phoned, me and said, 'Abouna [Father], I said the words, does that mean that Yesua [Jesus] doesn't love me any more?' I said, 'Yesua still loves you, he will always loves you,'" said White in a CBN video via the Orthodox Christian Network.
In that regard, he reflected on the genocidal quest of the extremist group that slaughtered countless amounts of people, while causing at least 250,000 Iraqi Christians to flee their homeland.
"Things were bad in Baghdad, there were bombs and shootings and our people were being killed, so many of our people fled back to Nineveh, their traditional home. It was safer, but then one day, ISIS - Islamic State," said White.
"They came in and they hounded all of them out. They killed huge numbers, they chopped their children in half, they chopped their heads off, and they moved north and it was so terrible what happened."
