iPod Touch 6G Release Date Rumors: Apple to Launch New Sixth Generation iPod in 2015?
When Apple did not include the iPod Touch 6G in the list of products it announced at the Keynote event on Oct. 16, it really disappointed iPod fans. Techies were expecting that the Cupertino-based tech titan would at least make an announcement regarding the upcoming device, and while that did not happen, fans are not giving up hope.
In fact, after the Oct. 16 event, there are rumors on the Internet regarding the chances of Apple unveiling of the iPod Touch 6G alongside the upcoming Apple Watch, which will be Apple's first wearable device.
Some fans have been speculating that Apple has delayed the release of iPod touch 6G until 2015 first quarter because currently many products of the company are in their development and testing stages. There are others who are of the view that the Cupertino tech titan is testing two different screen sizes for the iPod Touch 6G, similar to the recently released iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
In addition, some reports claim that Apple is concerned about the possible pricing for the product, as the iPod Touch is not a mobile phone it means that network carriers will not be able to offer the device with a phone contract and help people purchase the device with installment payment.
Yet, fans are hopeful and looking forward to the purported features of the new iPod Touch 6G. According to some earlier reports, the enhanced iPod Touch will be a complete entertainment device. As the iPod Touch is basically a music player, people are curious to know what Apple can do to make the device a complete package.
There are rumors that the new iPod Touch 6G will incorporate a better screen resolution, additional storage space that may be as much as 128 GB, in addition to the possible Retina display and Touch ID features that have already been incorporated in Apple's latest flagship products.
Apart from the iPod touch, it is being rumored that Apple will be unveiling a number of devices, including a purported Apple TV and the much-anticipated Mac Pro, in the first quarter of 2015.
