iPhone 6 Plus vs Google Nexus 6 Review: Comparison of Specs, Features, Price - Battle of the Bulky Phones
Unlike regular phones, phablets (by design) are much larger than regular handset smartphones. This means that devices like the iPhone 6 Plus and Google's Nexus 6, which quality as phablets, fit better in a bag than they do in pants pockets. With all the new phablets coming out from top smartdevices developers, size and weight have never mattered more.
In a comparison between the iPhone 6 Plus and the Google Nexus 6, one is bigger than the other, which some consumers might factor in when deciding between the two devices.
On that note, the Nexus 6 is larger and heavier, with a king-sized 5.9 inch panel display, while the iPhone 6 measures 5.5 inches screen-wise.
Beyond size and weight, Apple's sleek, intuitive operating system may have met its match with Google's Android-like interface. Nexus uses Material Design to create a magazine-like design approach. It is much more focused on customization. Comparatively, Apple is fluid to a fault, and designed for customer ease of learning.
Nexus and Apple have equally impressive processors, but different approaches. While Google showcases its Android 5.0 with high resolution displays, Apple focuses on running the same amount of games with less pizazz.
The prices are pretty even through Google-Motorola and Apple. Nexus 6 is said to go on sale for $649, although the four major US carriers have not released their pricing for data. The iPhone 6 Plus stands anywhere between $299 for 16GB to $949 for 128GB.
Either way, the key to choosing a phablet is to understand what you really need and will use as compared to what features are available. The Nexus 6 has enough specs to run its own computer, perhaps, but the iPhone 6 Plus has its own advantages.
